Introducing Dr. Jonathan Ziv – Agoura Hills, Malibu, and Thousand Oaks Area Cosmetic Dentist

Indeed, Dr. Ziv has received medals for every smile submitted to the world's largest international competition for cosmetic dentistry, hosted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). As an Accredited Member of the AACD, Dr. Ziv is one of a select few cosmetic dentists nationwide to have passed the arduous requirements for this award. He is also a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He combines neuromuscular dental techniques with state of the art cosmetic dentistry to treat TMJ and myofascial pain, while restoring a beautiful smile. Unique within his field, he was the first, and one of only two Accredited Members of the AACD in Southern California who is also skilled in neuromuscular dentistry. He has great success treating patients with a history of chronic headaches, neckaches and TMJ, by means of non-surgical orthognathic jaw repositioning. Dr Ziv was guest speaker at both the 2005 and 2006 AACD Annual Conference, lecturing on this topic to his peers.

Dr. Jonathan Ziv received his BS in Biological Sciences at UC Irvine before attending USC School of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Ziv established his practice in Agoura Hills, and has been practicing restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the same city since.

Dr. Ziv and his exceptional staff devote many hours each year to continuing education to keep up to date with the best of emerging dental technologies and materials. He is an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, and a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He has trained at the Esthetic Professionals Education Facility, and is laser certified. Recently, Dr. Ziv was awarded a Fellowship with the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics. He is a member of ICCMO (International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics, and ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists).

He is active in local service clubs including the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the Board of Directors. He has been recognized by the California Dental Association for his continuing efforts in support of statewide water fluoridation. Spearheaded by Dr. Ziv, a project recently approved by the Metropolitan Water District Board, will deliver fluoridated water to 18 million Southern Californians. Dr Ziv is also an elected Member of the Board of Directors of the Channel Islands Beach Community Services District.

The implant technique that Dr Ziv performs is a minimally invasive, arthroscopic type, “keyhole” surgery.
